Project Manager / Estimator – MV Switchgear

An established engineering business is looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager with some exposure to estimating with a strong background in Medium Voltage (MV) switchgears. This is a predominantly office-based role in Rochdale, offering the opportunity to manage projects from tender stage through to manufacture and final installation.

Working closely with key industrial clients, you'll take ownership of bids and tenders, coordinate internal teams, and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage bids, estimates and tenders for MV switchgear projects.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Manage a team of people.
• Liaise closely with the manufacturing facility to ensure project delivery.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Administration, Installation Supervisors and Workshop teams.
• Oversee projects from initial enquiry through to site installation and completion.

Requirements

• Proven experience working with Medium Voltage (MV) switchgear.
• Background delivering switchgear projects.
• Strong project management and estimating experience.
• Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate cross-functional teams.
