Learning Support Assistant – SEN School – Upminster/Rainham | September Start

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs?

We are working with a welcoming and supportive SEN school that is looking to appoint dedicated Learning Support Assistants for a September start. The school supports pupils with communication and interaction difficulties, Autism, medical syndromes, and physical and sensory needs.

The school operates across two sites, with Pre-16 students based at the main site in Upminster and Post-16 students attending the specialist provision in Rainham. All students have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), ensuring support is tailored to their individual needs.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and therapists to help students access learning, develop independence, and achieve positive outcomes both academically and personally.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience supporting children or young people with SEND
  • Be patient, caring, and adaptable
  • Have a genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs
  • Be confident building positive relationships with students and staff

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a specialist setting where every day makes a difference and where staff are committed to helping pupils reach their full potential.
