Senior Quantity Surveyor (Housebuilding)

Our client, a growing housebuilder operating across Rugby, Warwickshire, and Northampton, is seeking a senior quantity surveyor to join their commercial team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly experienced QS to take a leading role on multiple residential developments.

The Role

The senior quantity surveyor will take full commercial responsibility for large-scale residential projects, ensuring budgets are controlled, risks managed, and projects delivered on time and to a high standard.

This position is for experienced senior quantity surveyors only.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead on cost planning, valuations, and final accounts

• Manage procurement and contracts with subcontractors and suppliers

• Prepare regular cost reports and monitor financial performance

• Oversee junior QS team members and mentor where required

• Support contract administration and commercial decision-making

• Liaise with project managers, clients, and design teams

About You

• Extensive experience as a senior quantity surveyor within housebuilding or residential construction

• Strong knowledge of cost control, procurement, and subcontract management

• Proven ability to manage multiple large-scale projects

• Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills

• Relevant qualification in quantity surveying or construction

• Coins desirable
