Protocol Education are currently working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Wheathampstead who are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team.

The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and the school's SEN team, providing tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is patient, enthusiastic and committed to making a real difference in children's education.

The role will involve:

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN.
• Supporting pupils with their learning, communication and emotional development.
• Helping to implement individual support plans and strategies.
• Working alongside the class teacher and SENCO to ensure pupils are fully included.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and building pupils' confidence and independence.
• Creating a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

We're looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with children, ideally within a school or educational setting.
• Has a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
• Is patient, calm and nurturing.
• Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Is reliable, proactive and adaptable.
• Has a strong understanding of safeguarding and the importance of pupil wellbeing.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
