About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Worksop. The successful candidate will be passionate about delivering high-quality Science education, inspiring students to develop a curiosity about the world around them, and achieving excellent academic outcomes.

This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to develop their career in a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Teach Biology, Chemistry, and Physics in line with the National Curriculum.
• Create a positive and stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress.
• Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
• Maintain high standards of classroom management and behaviour.
• Contribute to the development of the Science curriculum and departmental initiatives.
• Support extracurricular activities and enrichment opportunities within the Science department.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Degree in Science or a related subject.
• Strong subject knowledge across the Science curriculum.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire students of varying abilities.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• Previous teaching experience is desirable; ECTs are encouraged to apply.
