We are seeking enthusiastic, caring and dedicated Learning Partners to join the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team within a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Yate. This is an exciting opportunity to support children at a crucial stage of their development, helping them build the confidence, independence and foundational skills they need to thrive throughout their education.

About the Role

As a Learning Partner within EYFS, you will work closely with nursery and reception-aged children, supporting their learning, wellbeing and development through play-based and child-centred approaches.

You will help create engaging learning experiences that encourage curiosity, communication, creativity and exploration while ensuring every child feels safe, valued and included.

Responsibilities will include:

• Supporting children in their learning through play, exploration and practical activities.
• Encouraging the development of early communication, language, literacy and numeracy skills.
• Promoting positive social interactions, emotional wellbeing and confidence.
• Supporting children's personal, social and emotional development.
• Assisting with observations and assessments of children's progress.
• Working collaboratively with teachers, families and other professionals.
• Helping to create a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment.
• Supporting children with personal care needs where required.
• Providing additional support for children with SEND within the EYFS setting.

About You

The successful candidate will:

• Have professional experience working with children or young people, including those with SEND (essential).
• Have a strong understanding of child development and the importance of early years education.
• Demonstrate a patient, caring and flexible approach.
• Be enthusiastic about learning through play and child-led experiences.
• Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Be committed to inclusion and supporting positive outcomes for all children.
• Be able to build warm, trusting relationships with children and families.
• Remain calm, resilient and proactive when supporting individual needs.
• Be able to provide two years of professional references.
• Hold an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one.

Experience within a nursery, preschool, reception class, childcare setting, or supporting children with additional needs would be particularly advantageous.
