We're working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school close to Avonmouth that is looking for a full-time SEN Learning Partner to join their team. This is a long-term opportunity supporting children across mainstream classrooms and within the school's behavioural support provision.
The school serves a diverse community and is committed to helping every child feel safe, valued and able to succeed. You'll work alongside experienced teachers and support staff, gaining first-hand experience of how schools support pupils with a range of additional needs.
What you'll be doing
- Supporting pupils with SEND and additional learning needs
- Working alongside teachers in mainstream classrooms
- Providing support within the school's behavioural provision
- Helping pupils engage with learning and develop confidence
- Building positive relationships and promoting emotional wellbeing
- Contributing to a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment
Who this role would suit
- Graduates considering a future career in education
- Psychology, Sociology, Criminology or Childhood Studies graduates
- Individuals interested in SEN, behaviour support or pastoral work
- Anyone looking to gain meaningful school-based experience before teacher training or further study
What we're looking for
- A positive, patient and resilient approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A genuine interest in supporting children and young people
- SEN experience is preferred, but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
