About the role

Our EU Data team is a full-stack Data team, and together we're building Monzo's presence across Europe from the ground up. As Data Director for EU expansion you'll lead the Data team and shape our product strategy as we grow.

You'll work closely with EU leadership and Monzo's global Leadership team, sitting on the EU Tech Leadership team and helping shape our global data strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Shaping product and commercial strategy: decide where Monzo should bet as we enter each new European market and find product-market fit.
• Owning the data strategy and the learning loops: set the data strategy for EU and stand up the foundations each new market needs.
• Changing how decisions get made: represent Data directly at the ExCo level and drive cross-collective collaboration.
• Building and leading a high-performing team: build, grow and retain a high-performing, full-stack Data team.

What we're looking for

You are a strategic data leader who has operated at Director level or above, and you're energised by zero-to-one ambiguity. You move comfortably from detailed metrics and data architecture to customer strategy, commercial outcomes and product-market fit.
