Protocol Education is seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 1 Class Teacher to join a friendly and supportive primary school in Basildon from January 2027 on a long-term block booking.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher who is committed to delivering engaging lessons, fostering a love of learning, and supporting pupils to achieve their full potential.
The Role
- Full class teaching responsibility for a Year 1 class.
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the KS1 National Curriculum.
- Creating a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
- Assessing and monitoring pupil progress.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff.
- Maintaining high expectations for achievement and behaviour.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 1.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
