We’re looking for a resilient, compassionate English Teacher to join an SEMH settings in Bath, supporting young people who need patience, consistency, and someone who won’t give up on them.

This isn’t your average classroom role. You’ll be teaching students who may have faced barriers to education, struggled in mainstream settings, or simply need a different approach to thrive. The wins here might look different, but trust us, they mean everything.

What the role looks like:

  • Teaching English across KS3 and KS4
  • Building positive relationships and strong routines
  • Supporting students with SEMH needs and behavioural challenges
  • Working closely with pastoral teams and support staff
  • Creating a calm, engaging and safe learning environment
  • We’re looking for someone who:

  • Holds UK QTS or relevant teaching experience
  • Has experience working with SEMH, SEND or challenging behaviour
  • Stays calm under pressure and leads with empathy
  • Can make English accessible, engaging and relatable
  • Believes every student deserves another chance

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
