The Chamberlain Highbury Trust (CHT) was established in 2015 to restore Highbury, the magnificent home of Joseph Chamberlain, Birmingham’s most famous civic leader. Highbury, with its grade II* listed mansion and grounds, is located in Moseley, Birmingham and holds an important place in the country’s political and architectural history.

The Chamberlain Highbury Trust are looking for a part time Activity Planner to pilot a number of activities that could be delivered from the house and grounds at Highbury in Birmingham. The activities will focus on young people in particular, and other under-represented groups in the visitor profile of the house and grounds.

Key themes around which activities could be delivered include: 

  • Leadership, governance and decision makers of the futureThe story of the Chamberlain family including its controversial involvement in colonialism
  • Developing skills in heritage conservation and interpretation (for buildings, landscape and cultural)
  • The art and significance of the architecture and landscape of Highbury
  • Improving health and wellbeing through involvement.
