SEN Teaching Assistants Wanted – Borehamwood

Protocol Education are looking for caring, enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join primary schools across Borehamwood and the surrounding areas.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to make a genuine difference in the classroom while gaining valuable experience working with children and young people.

As an SEN TA, you could be providing 1:1 support, small-group interventions or classroom-based assistance, helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and develop their confidence and independence.

Your responsibilities may include:

Providing tailored support to pupils with SEN
Supporting children with their learning and development
Helping pupils with communication and social skills
Working on a 1:1 or small-group basis
Supporting the class teacher and wider school team
Encouraging positive behaviour and independence
Creating a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment

We’re looking for SEN TAs who are:

✔️ Caring, patient and approachable
✔️ Passionate about working with children
✔️ Reliable and enthusiastic
✔️ Confident supporting children with additional needs
✔️ Able to work effectively as part of a team
✔️ Experienced in SEN, education, care or similar settings — desirable but not always essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
