Do you have experience supporting children who display challenging behaviour or struggle with emotional regulation?
A primary school in the North Bristol area is looking for a resilient and compassionate Learning Partner to support pupils within its specialist SEN provision.
The children you support may experience SEMH needs, anxiety, emotional dysregulation or difficulties managing their behaviour. You'll help them understand their emotions, recognise triggers and develop strategies that allow them to successfully access school.
We're looking for someone who can:
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
- Remain calm and consistent during challenging situations
- Use positive behaviour management and de-escalation techniques
- Support emotional regulation and re-engagement with learning
- Recognise that behaviour is often a form of communication
- Set appropriate boundaries while maintaining a nurturing approach
Experience in SEMH, behaviour support, youth work, mentoring, alternative provision or care would all be highly relevant.
If you're resilient, relationship-focused and motivated by helping children overcome barriers to education, we'd love to hear from you.
