Are you calm under pressure and brilliant at building relationships with children who find school difficult?

We're recruiting Learning Mentors and Learning Support Assistants for primary schools in and around the Patchway area.

These roles are ideal for people who understand that challenging behaviour often communicates an unmet need.

You could work 1:1, with small groups or alongside children within their mainstream classroom.

Your role could involve:

• Building trusted relationships with pupils
• Supporting emotional regulation
• Recognising triggers before situations escalate
• Using positive behaviour management strategies
• Supporting children during difficult transitions
• Encouraging engagement with learning
• Providing consistent routines and boundaries
• Helping pupils experience success at school

We're particularly interested in candidates from SEND, youth work, mentoring, care, sports coaching, behaviour support and alternative provision backgrounds.

You'll need to be resilient, empathetic and consistent, with the confidence to maintain boundaries without losing sight of the child behind the behaviour.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
