We're looking for a confident and energetic PE HLTA to join a fantastic school in Bristol.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with a strong sports background who enjoys working with young people and wants to play a key role in both PE and wider school life.

Whether you've worked as a coach, sports instructor, HLTA, teaching assistant, or hold a sports-related qualification, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

  • Delivering high-quality PE lessons across a range of year groups
  • Leading whole-class learning when required
  • Supporting pupils to develop confidence, teamwork, resilience, and healthy lifestyles
  • Organising and delivering sports activities, clubs, and enrichment opportunities
  • Working alongside teachers to support planning and assessment
  • Encouraging participation and helping every pupil reach their potential

We're looking for someone who

  • Holds HLTA status or has relevant experience leading groups of pupils
  • Has a recognised sports qualification, sports degree, coaching badge, or competitive sporting background
  • Is confident leading PE lessons independently
  • Builds positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Brings enthusiasm, energy, and a positive attitude every day
  • Has strong behaviour management skills and can motivate learners of all abilities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
