Are you someone who naturally builds trust with children? Do you stay calm under pressure, bring positive energy wherever you go and want a role that genuinely changes lives?

Protocol Education is working with welcoming primary schools across Bristol looking for enthusiastic and compassionate Positive Behaviour Facilitators to join them from September.

This is far more than a classroom support role. You'll become a trusted adult for children who need extra encouragement, helping them overcome challenges, celebrate successes and develop the confidence they need to thrive both in school and beyond.

You don't need years of SEN experience to be successful. What schools are really looking for is someone who is patient, resilient, empathetic and committed to supporting young people. We've seen people from youth work, sports coaching, care, retail, hospitality, psychology, drama, sociology and customer-facing backgrounds excel in these positions.

If you're passionate about helping children succeed and want a rewarding career where no two days are the same, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support for pupils who need additional guidance
  • Building positive relationships that help children feel safe, supported and ready to learn
  • Supporting pupils who may experience challenges related to SEMH, ASD, ADHD or other additional needs
  • Working alongside class teachers to adapt activities and encourage engagement
  • Promoting positive behaviour through encouragement, consistency and praise
  • Helping pupils develop emotional regulation, confidence and resilience
  • Acting as a positive role model throughout the school day

Who Would Be Great for This Role?

We're looking for people who can bring energy, patience and positivity into the classroom. You may have experience in:

  • Youth work
  • Sports coaching
  • Care and support work
  • Mental health support
  • Psychology or sociology studies
  • Drama, performing arts or creative backgrounds
  • Customer-facing roles where communication and relationship building are key

Most importantly, you'll be:

  • Calm and resilient when situations become challenging
  • Positive, proactive and eager to support children
  • A strong communicator who can build relationships quickly
  • Adaptable and willing to learn
  • Passionate about helping every child reach their potential

Pay & Benefits

  • Competitive daily rates of £92-£94 per day
  • Weekly PAYE pay
  • Flexible work to fit around your commitments
  • Opportunities for long-term and permanent positions
  • Valuable experience for anyone considering a future career in education, psychology, social work or youth services
  • Full support from your dedicated local consultant
