SEN Teaching Assistant – Swindon (SN1)

Protocol Education is currently recruiting a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Swindon (SN1). This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a positive impact on the learning, development, and wellbeing of children with Special Educational Needs.

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and SEN professionals to provide personalised support and create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for pupils.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

✨ Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs
✨ Support children with a range of needs including Autism, SEMH, communication difficulties, and learning needs
✨ Assist teachers in delivering tailored learning activities
✨ Support emotional regulation, confidence building, and social development
✨ Encourage independence and help pupils achieve their personal goals
✨ Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families

We are looking for someone who:

✔ Has experience working with children or young people (SEN experience desirable)
✔ Is patient, caring, and committed to supporting individual needs
✔ Has strong communication and teamwork skills
✔ Can build positive relationships with pupils
✔ Is enthusiastic about creating an inclusive learning environment
