

Teaching Assistant

We're looking for caring, resilient, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to work across a variety of SEN and SEMH schools. You'll support pupils with additional needs, helping them build confidence, develop key skills, and achieve their potential both inside and outside the classroom.
Whether you've worked in education before, supported children in another setting, or come from a care, youth work, coaching, or support background, we'd love to hear from you.
What you'll be doing:
- Supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH)
- Building positive relationships that help pupils feel safe, supported, and ready to learn
- Working alongside teachers and support staff to deliver engaging learning activities
- Providing one-to-one and small group support
- Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation
- Adapting to different school environments and learning new skills along the way

We're looking for people who:
- Have experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable adults
- Are calm, patient, and able to build trust quickly
- Can adapt to different environments and situations
- Have a genuine passion for supporting young people
- Are resilient, positive, and ready to get stuck in
Bonus points if you have:
- Previous SEN or SEMH experience
- Behaviour support experience
- Youth work, care, coaching, mentoring, or support work experience
- Thrive training or a willingness to complete Thrive training through Protocol Education
