We’re working with a welcoming primary school in Henleaze looking for a Year 1 Teacher to join their team from September.

This is a full-time permanent role within a supportive school that places a real focus on creating a positive environment for both pupils and staff. The leadership team is approachable, the staff work closely together, and there’s a strong emphasis on helping children settle confidently into Key Stage 1.

The school would welcome applications from experienced KS1 teachers as well as ECTs looking for a supportive start to their teaching career.

The role

As the Year 1 Teacher, you’ll:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
• Support pupils as they transition from EYFS into Key Stage 1
• Create a calm, inclusive and positive classroom environment
• Develop pupils’ confidence in phonics, reading, writing and maths
• Monitor progress and adapt teaching to support individual needs
• Work closely with colleagues, support staff and parents

We’re looking for someone who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Has experience teaching within KS1, ideally Year 1
• Delivers engaging and well-structured lessons
• Builds positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
• Has strong classroom management and communication skills
• Is committed to supporting every child’s development and wellbeing
