Youth Worker Moving into SEN School
Bristol
Full time
Looking for a role where your people skills matter just as much as your experience?
This September, a fantastic SEN school is looking for a full-time Youth Worker to join their team and support pupils who need a calm, consistent adult in their corner.
If you've worked with young people through youth clubs, mentoring programmes, sports coaching, residential settings, or community projects, you'll already have many of the skills schools are crying out for.
Why this role?
No two days are the same. One moment you could be helping a pupil regulate their emotions, the next you're celebrating a breakthrough that's taken weeks to achieve.
You'll be supporting children and young people with additional needs, including autism, ADHD, social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), and communication difficulties.
What you'll be doing
Building positive relationships with pupils
Supporting learning in and out of the classroom
Helping students develop confidence, independence, and emotional regulation
Working closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff
Creating a safe, supportive environment where every child can thrive
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- Youth work experience
- Mentoring or coaching experience
- Experience supporting vulnerable young people
- A patient, resilient, and positive approach
- A genuine passion for helping children succeed
