We are looking for an experienced and passionate Early Years professional who is ready to take the next step into a leadership role or bring their existing management experience to a thriving nursery team.
The Role
As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Nursery Manager to support the day-to-day running of the setting, ensuring the highest standards of care, education, and safeguarding are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Nursery Manager with the overall operation of the nursery.
- Lead, motivate, and develop the nursery team.
- Ensure outstanding childcare and education in line with the EYFS framework.
- Monitor children's learning and development, ensuring positive outcomes.
- Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals.
- Support with staff supervision, training, and performance management.
- Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and compliance standards are consistently met.
- Step into the Manager's role in their absence.
About You
- Level 3 Early Years qualification or above.
- Previous experience in a senior nursery role, such as Third in Charge, Senior Practitioner, Room Leader, or Deputy Manager.
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Passionate about delivering high-quality childcare and supporting team development.
- Committed to creating a positive environment for children, families, and colleagues.
