Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – SEN 1:1 (EYFS)

About the Role

We are seeking a caring and experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to provide 1:1 support within EYFS for a child with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a welcoming Chelmsford setting. This role is ideal for someone patient, nurturing, and passionate about supporting early development.

Key Responsibilities

Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a child in the Early Years Foundation Stage
Assist with learning, play, and social development
Implement individual learning plans and strategies
Support communication, emotional regulation, and engagement
Work closely with teachers, SENCO, and parents
Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment

Requirements

Previous SEN experience (essential)
Experience working within EYFS (essential)
Knowledge of additional needs such as ASD, speech & language, or behavioural needs (desirable)
Patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Relevant childcare or support qualification (desirable but not essential)
