Are you a qualified Level 2 Nursery Practitioner seeking a long-term opportunity within a friendly and supportive private nursery?
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established private nursery in Chelmsford for a Level 2 Nursery Practitioner to join their dedicated team from August 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about early years education who is looking for a stable, long-term position working 4 days per week.
The Role
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a key role in creating a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment where children can learn, develop, and thrive. You will work closely with colleagues and parents to support each child's individual learning journey.
Responsibilities
- Supporting children's learning and development in line with the EYFS framework.
- Planning and delivering engaging age-appropriate activities.
- Building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Monitoring and recording children's progress and achievements.
- Ensuring the highest standards of safeguarding, health, and safety.
- Assisting with daily routines including mealtimes and personal care.
Requirements
✅ Level 2 Early Years qualification (CACHE, NVQ or equivalent)
✅ Previous nursery or childcare experience
✅ Good knowledge of the EYFS framework
✅ Passionate about supporting children's development
✅ Strong communication and teamwork skills
✅ Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
