Cover Supervisor – Chesterfield

We are looking for a confident and motivated Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming school in Chesterfield. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and is passionate about supporting students in their learning.

The Role:

• Supervise classes during the absence of the regular teacher
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and ensure students remain engaged
• Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment
• Support students with their learning and answer basic questions where appropriate
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Provide feedback to teaching staff on student participation and behaviour

Requirements:

• Experience working with children or young people is desirable
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Confident, organised, and adaptable approach
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
