Do you have experience working with children and want a role where no two days are ever the same?
Whether you've worked in a nursery, volunteered with children, helped run a youth club, supported children's sports teams, worked in childcare, tutoring, holiday clubs, or community groups, your experience could be exactly what we're looking for.
We're seeking a full-time Learning Support Assistant for a welcoming school in Colchester. This role is perfect for someone who is energetic, adaptable, caring, and ready to make a real impact on young people's lives every day.
What Makes This Role Exciting?
As an LSA, you'll be much more than classroom support. You'll be a confidence builder, motivator, problem solver, role model, and champion for the pupils you work with.
One day you could be helping a child overcome a learning challenge, the next supporting engaging activities, encouraging social development, or helping students build the confidence they need to thrive both in and out of the classroom.
If you're someone who enjoys variety, loves working with children, and can adapt to different situations with a positive attitude, you'll fit right in.
Ideal Experience
We'd love to hear from candidates who have experience in:
- Nurseries or Early Years settings
- Youth clubs and community groups
- Sports coaching or activity clubs
- Children's holiday camps
- Tutoring or mentoring
- Volunteering with children or young people
- Care or support work
- Scout, Guide, Cadet or similar youth organisations
Don't worry if you've never worked in a school before. If you're passionate about supporting young people and have transferable experience, we'd love to hear from you.
What We're Looking For
- Available to work full-time
- Adaptable, resilient, and able to think on your feet
- A positive and proactive attitude
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A genuine passion for working with children
- A team player who isn't afraid to get stuck in and support wherever needed
