Every child deserves a brilliant start. Be part of the team that makes it happen.

The early years are where confidence begins, curiosity grows, and lifelong learning takes root. If you're passionate about creating those magical first moments of discovery, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.

Protocol Education is working with a welcoming and well-established early years setting in Colchester to recruit a full-time, permanent Early Years Practitioner. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a nurturing environment where children are encouraged to flourish, and where your dedication, creativity and care will be genuinely valued.

Every smile you inspire, every milestone you celebrate, and every reassuring word you offer helps shape a child's future. It's a role with real purpose, and one where no two days are ever the same.

The role

As an Early Years Practitioner, you'll play a vital role in creating a safe, engaging and inclusive environment where children can learn through play, develop independence and build confidence.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering high-quality learning experiences in line with the EYFS Framework
  • Supporting children's social, emotional and educational development
  • Building positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
  • Observing, assessing and celebrating each child's individual progress
  • Helping to create a warm, stimulating and welcoming environment every day

We're looking for someone who has

  • A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare, or an equivalent recognised qualification
  • Previous experience working within an early years setting
  • A sound understanding of the EYFS Framework
  • A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach
  • A genuine commitment to giving every child the very best start in life

When you join us, you'll benefit from:

  • FREE access to our online CPD Academy, helping you continue your professional development
  • A dedicated consultant who takes the time to understand your goals and supports you every step of the way
  • Opportunities across mainstream, SEND and alternative education settings
  • A straightforward, supportive registration process
  • Access to local permanent and long-term opportunities
  • A referral scheme where you can earn rewards for recommending friends and colleagues
