Protocol Education is working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in Year 4 with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).

The Role
As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with one pupil, providing tailored support that enables them to fully engage with learning and school life.
Your responsibilities will include:
Building a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil
Supporting access to classroom learning and activities
Adapting tasks and resources to meet individual needs
Encouraging communication, interaction and social development
Supporting emotional regulation and wellbeing throughout the day
Implementing strategies outlined in support plans and EHCP targets where applicable
Monitoring progress and sharing observations with school staff
Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, parents and external professionals

What We Need to Clear You
To complete our compliance process, you'll need:
- Valid passport or proof of right to work in the UK
- Two recent proofs of address
- A CV covering the last 10 years of work and/or education history, with any gaps explained
- References covering relevant employment and education history
- An overseas police check if you have lived abroad for 3 months or more within the last 5 years
- An Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to apply for one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
