Protocol Education is working with a welcoming secondary school in Orpington looking for an Arabic Speaking SEND Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a student with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) from September 2026.

Your ability to communicate in Arabic will play an important role in supporting the student's learning and, where appropriate, strengthening communication with their family.

What you'll be doing
- Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a secondary-aged student with SEND throughout the school day
- Using your Arabic language skills to help the student access learning and communicate with confidence
- Supporting emotional regulation, engagement and independence
- Building a positive, trusting relationship that helps the student feel safe and supported
- Working closely with teachers, the SENCO and pastoral team to deliver personalised support
- Creating a calm, encouraging and inclusive learning environment where the student can flourish
We'd love to hear from you if you:
- Speak fluent Arabic and English
- Have experience supporting children or young people with SEND, SEMH or additional needs, or have transferable experience from care, youth work or support roles
- Are patient, resilient and empathetic
- Can build strong, positive relationships and remain calm in challenging situations
- Are passionate about helping young people achieve their potential
- Can travel to Orpington and are available to start in September 2026
