SEN Teaching Assistant – Darlington

Are you willing to make a positive impact in education? Protocol Education are looking for a teaching assistant with SEN experience to join the team. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN.
• Supporting children with additional needs, e.g. autism, ADHD, SEMH.
• Supporting children’s emotional regulation to ensure their own safety as well as those around them.
• Building positive relationships with pupils.
• Supporting the class teacher with day-to-day activities.
• Assisting with classroom management and organisation.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children with SEN.
• Calm, patient and consistent.
• A positive attitude and passion for supporting children’s learning, development and wellbeing.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently when required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
