Quantity Surveyor - Residential Housebuilding
Location: Derby
Salary: Up to £55,000-£60,000 plus package

A leading residential construction business is looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Derby. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused QS to join a successful organisation delivering high-quality residential developments.

The ideal candidate will have a background in residential construction, ideally gained with a main contractor or housebuilder, with experience managing the commercial aspects of housing projects from procurement through to final account.

Key responsibilities:

• Managing project costs throughout the construction lifecycle

• Preparing valuations, cost reports, forecasts, and financial updates

• Managing subcontractor accounts, variations, and payments

• Supporting procurement and package management

• Working closely with site teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and profitably

• Maintaining strong commercial control across projects

Ideal experience:

• Quantity Surveying experience within residential construction

• Background with a main contractor, residential developer, or housebuilder

• Experience managing subcontract packages and project costs

• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

Package: Up to £55,000-£60,000 plus a competitive benefits package.
