Lead the Delivery of a Landmark Infrastructure Transformation Programme
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Infrastructure Project Manager to join a major capital investment programme delivering critical infrastructure improvements within a complex operational environment. You will take ownership of a portfolio of projects, providing strategic leadership from concept through to delivery while managing multidisciplinary teams, complex stakeholder environments, and significant programme risks.
 

The Opportunity
Working on a nationally significant infrastructure programme, you'll play a key role in shaping and delivering major civil engineering, utility, drainage, and building projects that will support long-term growth and operational excellence. You'll be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and in line with strict governance and operational requirements.
 

Key Responsibilities
Programme Leadership & Delivery
-    Provide strategic leadership across a portfolio of major infrastructure projects.
-    Drive successful project delivery against scope, programme, budget, quality and safety objectives.
-    Develop and implement Project Execution Plans and programme delivery strategies.
-    Lead programme governance, reporting and performance management activities.
-    Manage programme-wide risks, issues, opportunities and change control processes.
-    Ensure effective coordination across multiple concurrent project workstreams.
 

Team Leadership
-    Lead, mentor and develop Project Managers and multidisciplinary delivery teams.
-    Allocate resources effectively across projects and programme priorities.
-    Review and oversee key project deliverables, forecasts, commercial reports and governance documentation.
-    Foster a collaborative, high-performance project culture focused on delivery excellence.
 

Stakeholder & Commercial Management
-    Act as a senior client-facing representative across the programme.
-    Build strong relationships with contractors, consultants, operational teams and key stakeholders.
-    Chair senior project and governance meetings.
-    Lead commercial and contractual management activities throughout the project lifecycle.
-    Drive informed decision-making through clear reporting, analysis and programme insight.
 

About You
We're keen to speak with experienced project leaders who can demonstrate:
-    15+ years' experience delivering major infrastructure or capital investment programmes.
-    Proven success managing large-scale civil engineering, utilities, drainage, buildings or infrastructure projects from inception through completion.
-    Strong knowledge and practical experience of the NEC Suite of Contracts.
-    Experience operating within complex, highly regulated or live operational environments.
-    Excellent leadership skills with experience managing and developing project management teams.
-    Strong commercial awareness, contract management and risk management expertise.
-    Outstanding stakeholder engagement and client management capabilities.
-    Proven ability to manage programme governance, reporting and executive-level communications.
