SEN Teaching Assistant - Long-Term Role
Location: WF7 area
Pay: £92.63-£100 per day, depending on experience and skills
Contract: Long-term
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in the WF7 area on a long-term basis.
The successful candidate will support pupils with a range of special educational needs, including social, emotional and mental health needs. You will work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to provide tailored support, promote positive behaviour and help pupils engage confidently with their learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with SEN and SEMH needs
- Assist with the delivery of individual education and support plans
- Help pupils manage their emotions, behaviour and engagement
- Create a safe, inclusive and encouraging learning environment
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and other support staff
- Monitor pupils' progress and provide clear feedback
Requirements
- Previous SEN and/or SEMH experience is essential
- A patient, resilient and nurturing approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Confidence in supporting pupils with challenging behaviour
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupils' welfare
- Relevant qualifications or school-based experience are desirable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
