Protocol Education is recruiting a full-time Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a specialist SEND school in Ferryhill.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant who is ready to take on greater responsibility, lead learning activities and provide high-quality support to pupils with a range of SEND needs.

What you'll be doing

• Leading targeted interventions and small-group activities
• Supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs
• Delivering engaging learning activities based on teacher planning
• Helping pupils work towards their individual targets
• Tracking and monitoring pupil progress
• Providing classroom cover when required
• Supporting positive behaviour and encouraging engagement
• Working closely with teachers and wider school staff
• Helping pupils develop independence, confidence and essential life skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
