Commercial Lead - Data Centre (MEP & CSA)

Project: Data Centre / Mission Critical
Location: Finland - rotation avaliable for UK/EU citizens OR Finnish Nationals 
Package: £125,000 – £140,000 basic salary + allowance + accommodation + vehicle + travel + benefits

We are working with an established, market leading M&E contractor seeking a Commercial Lead to take commercial responsibility for MEP/CSA delivery package on a Data Centre project.

The successful candidate will lead the full commercial delivery of a €100M–€120M project, with a commercial team reporting into them. This is a key leadership role suited to someone with strong main contractor or specialist subcontractor experience, ideally within mission critical, data centre, large-scale MEP, CSA, or major construction environments.

Responsibilities - Commercial Lead 

• Lead the full commercial delivery of a €100M–€120M MEP/CSA project
• Manage and develop the commercial team reporting into the role
• Oversee cost management, forecasting, CVRs, reporting, and commercial governance
• Lead subcontract procurement, package management, valuations, variations, change control, and final accounts
• Work closely with project delivery, planning, design, and procurement teams to ensure commercial alignment
• Manage client and supply chain relationships professionally and commercially
• Identify, manage, and mitigate commercial risk across the project lifecycle
• Support pre-construction activity ahead of site mobilisation
• Ensure contractual obligations are understood, managed, and adhered to
• Provide accurate reporting to senior leadership on cost, risk, margin, and project performance

Skills and Experience - Commercial Lead 

• Proven experience as a Commercial Lead, Senior Commercial Manager, Commercial Manager, Managing Quantity Surveyor, or Senior Quantity Surveyor
• Strong background in M&E, CSA, mission critical, major projects, or complex construction delivery
• Experience managing large-value packages or projects, ideally £20M+ / €25M+
• Main contractor or specialist subcontractor background preferred
• Strong understanding of commercial management from pre-construction through to final account
• Experience managing commercial teams
• Confident dealing with clients, subcontractors, project teams, and senior stakeholders
• Strong contractual knowledge, ideally including NEC, JCT, FIDIC, or similar forms of contract
• Comfortable working on a European rotation or project-based arrangement
