HSE Manager - Data Centre

Project: 27MW Data Centre / Mission Critical
Location: Frankfurt, Germany (25 minutes from Frankfurt Airport)
Package: Competitive salary + €1,400 net tax free monthly subsistence + accommodation + flights + benefits

We are working with an established international M&E contractor delivering a major 27MW Data Centre project in Frankfurt, as they continue to strengthen their presence across the European mission-critical sector.

This is an opportunity to join a high-profile Data Centre project at a critical stage of delivery, working within an experienced project team and playing a key role in maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and environmental performance across the site.

For an experienced HSE professional, this is an opportunity to take a visible and influential position within a major M&E delivery environment, working directly with project leadership, specialist subcontractors and client stakeholders while gaining further exposure to the rapidly expanding European Data Centre market.

This opportunity is offered on a 10/4 rotation with accommodation and flights covered. 

Responsibilities - HSE Manager

  • Lead the implementation of the project EHS management system across site
  • Drive a strong, proactive safety culture across the project
  • Lead regular site inspections, audits and compliance reviews
  • Review RAMS, method statements, SOPs and project risk assessments
  • Coordinate HSE requirements across site teams, subcontractors and project stakeholders
  • Manage project HSE plans, safety files and EHS documentation
  • Lead and attend project EHS coordination meetings
  • Support incident investigations, corrective actions and lessons learned
  • Monitor training, competency and site compliance requirements
  • Track and close out audit and inspection findings through relevant digital platforms
  • Prepare HSE reports and support KPI reporting
  • Work closely with project management, subcontractors and client representatives
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and practical safety solutions on site
  • Represent the contractor professionally during audits, inspections and client engagements

Skills and Experience - HSE Manager

  • Substantial experience in an HSE, EHS, Health & Safety or Safety Lead position
  • Strong background within construction and site-based project delivery
  • Experience working within M&E, MEP, building services or Data Centre environments highly advantageous
  • Strong understanding of construction health and safety legislation and regulatory requirements
  • Experience conducting site audits, inspections and risk reviews
  • Strong experience reviewing RAMS, method statements, SOPs and risk assessments
  • Relevant third-level qualification in Environmental Health & Safety or a related discipline
  • IOSH or equivalent EHS accreditation
  • Experience with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
  • Experience managing HSE requirements across contractors and subcontractors
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with digital construction/EHS platforms such as Procore, EIDA, Kianda or similar
  • Fluent English language skills
  • Full clean driving licence

This role would suit an experienced HSE Manager, EHS Manager, Health & Safety Manager, HSE Lead or Senior HSE Advisor with strong construction experience, ideally gained within Data Centres, MEP/M&E, building services or other large-scale projects.

The successful candidate will be confident operating on site, managing contractor and subcontractor safety, influencing project teams and balancing regulatory compliance with practical, delivery-focused HSE management.
