Mechanical Package Manager - Data Centre Project

Our client is seeking a Mechanical Package Manager to join the delivery team on a 27MW hyperscale data centre, approximately 25 minutes from Frankfurt airport, covering the mechanical package.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Plan labour, materials and subcontractor resource across the package.
• Manage designated packages within the wider project.
• Lead and motivate a large team to meet project requirements and deadlines.
• Uphold company safety and quality standards.
• Protect project profitability.
• Take responsibility for all personnel within your remit.
• Handle project scheduling and planning.
• Report on project progress to the management team.
• Read and interpret P&IDs, GA drawings and specifications.
• Demonstrate a proven track record coordinating and managing large projects.
• Deliver successful commissioning and handover in line with company procedures.

Requirements

• Able to perform well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Capable of driving a large-scale project.
• 5+ years' recent, comparable experience with a major M&E contractor on large commercial projects.
• 3rd level engineering qualification or trade background with relevant experience.
• Strong communication and people-management skills, with experience leading a team, delegating work and delivering against the project programme.
• Able to carry out material take-offs for inclusion in site requisitions.
• Good IT skills - Windows, MS Office.
