We are working with a fantastic SEND school in Gateshead that is seeking a passionate and committed BSL Teaching Assistant to support students with hearing impairments and additional learning needs.

Key Duties

✅ Provide communication support using BSL
✅ Support learning on a 1:1 and group basis
✅ Help pupils develop confidence and independence
✅ Work alongside teachers and SEND specialists
✅ Promote an inclusive and supportive school environment

What We're Looking For

✅ BSL qualification or equivalent experience
✅ Experience supporting children, young people or vulnerable individuals
✅ Positive and nurturing approach
✅ Excellent communication skills
✅ Commitment to pupil progress and wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
