Role Information

• Monday-Friday
• 8:30am-3:30pm or 8:30am-4:30pm
• Term-time only
• Long-term opportunity

Your Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with a range of SEND, including autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
• Delivering tailored literacy and communication activities to individuals and small groups.
• Providing 1:1 support to help pupils access learning and achieve their individual targets.
• Encouraging confidence in reading, writing, communication and self-expression.
• Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing through consistent, nurturing support.
• Working closely with teachers, therapists and support staff to deliver personalised learning experiences.
• Helping to create an engaging, inclusive and supportive classroom environment.

We'd Love to Hear From You If You Have

• A degree in English or a related subject.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs.
• Patience, empathy and a positive, resilient attitude.
• Confidence building relationships with pupils and adapting your approach to meet individual needs.
• An interest in pursuing a career in teaching, SEND, educational psychology or a related profession.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
