A specialist SEMH school in Gateshead is seeking a resilient and enthusiastic Graduate Behaviour Mentor to support pupils who may find mainstream education challenging.

You'll work alongside experienced teachers and pastoral staff, developing your understanding of behaviour, emotional regulation and the factors that can affect a young person's engagement with education.

Location: Gateshead
Pay: £92.63–£105 per day
Contract: Full-time, Long-Term

What You'll Do

• Support pupils on a 1:1 basis
• Build positive professional relationships
• Encourage engagement with learning
• Support emotional regulation
• Help manage challenging behaviour
• Deliver targeted support and interventions
• Encourage positive choices
• Support classroom routines
• Work closely with teachers and pastoral teams
• Help pupils develop confidence and independence

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
