Graduate SEN Learning Support Assistant – Gateshead

Protocol Education is working with a specialist SEN school in Gateshead to recruit enthusiastic graduates for Learning Support Assistant positions.

The role would suit graduates looking to develop their experience before pursuing careers in teaching, educational psychology, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, social care or other education-based professions.

Location: Gateshead
Pay: £92.63–£108.00 per day
Contract: Full-Time and Part-Time opportunities

Responsibilities

• Providing classroom and learning support
• Working with pupils on a one-to-one and small-group basis
• Supporting pupils with additional learning needs
• Encouraging engagement and participation
• Helping pupils develop confidence and independence
• Supporting social, emotional and communication needs
• Assisting teachers with classroom activities
• Following individual support strategies and guidance

Person Specification

We're looking for graduates who demonstrate:

• The ability to build positive relationships
• A genuine interest in SEN and education

Previous experience within a school or SEN setting is desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
