Are you an experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity within a SEND setting?
Protocol Education is working with a supportive SEND school in Gateshead that is looking for a caring, enthusiastic and experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team.
You’ll play an important role in helping pupils access education, overcome barriers to learning and develop the skills they need to thrive.
What you’ll be doing
- Providing personalised support to pupils with SEND
- Working 1:1 and with small groups
- Supporting lessons and classroom activities
- Helping pupils overcome barriers to learning
- Supporting communication, social and emotional development
- Encouraging positive behaviour and independence
- Working closely with teachers and other support staff
What we’re looking for
- A recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Previous experience within a school or SEND environment
- A strong understanding of SEND
- Experience supporting behaviour and learning
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A calm, patient and positive approach
- The ability to work effectively within a team
Working hours
- Monday–Friday
- 8:30am–4:30pm
- Full-time

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
