A specialist primary school in Gateshead is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional learning, communication, and emotional needs.

Key Responsibilities

Provide tailored support to individual pupils and small groups.
Help pupils access learning in a way that meets their unique needs.
Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies.
Work closely with teachers and therapists to deliver personalised support.
Create a positive and engaging learning environment.

Ideal Candidate

Previous experience supporting children or young people.
Understanding of SEND or a willingness to learn.
Calm, patient, and adaptable approach.
Strong relationship-building skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
