A specialist SEND school in Gateshead is recruiting a Graduate SEND Learning Mentor to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH and communication difficulties.
This could be a fantastic opportunity for a graduate looking to gain practical experience before progressing into Educational Psychology, Teaching, Child Psychology, Speech & Language Therapy or youth-focused careers.
Location: Gateshead
Pay: £92.63–£105 per day
Contract: Full-time, Long-Term
Your responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support
- Help pupils develop emotional regulation strategies
- Support positive behaviour
- Assist with interventions and learning activities
- Encourage communication and social development
- Support pupils to become more confident and independent
- Work as part of a specialist SEND team
