Protocol Education are recruiting a Graduate Pastoral Teaching Assistant for a school in Gateshead.

This role is ideal for graduates who are interested in young people's wellbeing, behaviour, relationships and personal development and want practical experience before moving into their chosen career.

The Role

You'll support pupils both academically and pastorally, helping them feel confident and ready to learn.

You will:

Build strong relationships with pupils
Support students with emotional wellbeing
Encourage positive engagement
Help pupils manage challenges
Support behaviour and boundaries
Work 1:1 and in small groups
Encourage communication and confidence
Support pupils during lessons
Help students develop independence
Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff
