Receptionist & Administrator – Gateshead
Could you be the friendly face that keeps a busy school office running smoothly?
A welcoming and community-focused primary school in Gateshead is looking for an organised, professional and approachable Receptionist & Administrator to join their school office team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced administrator, receptionist or customer service professional to become an important part of the school community. You’ll be the first point of contact for pupils, parents, visitors and staff, helping to ensure the school office runs efficiently and professionally.

Contract: Long-term, with potential for the role to become indefinite
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing the school’s busy reception area and welcoming visitors
- Answering and directing incoming telephone calls
- Greeting parents, pupils, visitors and external professionals
- Responding to enquiries in a friendly and professional manner
- Providing general administrative support to the school office
- Maintaining accurate records and completing routine paperwork
- Supporting the wider school team with day-to-day administration
- Helping to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the school office

Previous school office experience would be highly desirable, but the school is also open to candidates from other sectors who can demonstrate strong administration, organisation and customer service skills.
