SEND Teacher – Gateshead
Could you help pupils with additional needs build confidence, independence and achieve their potential?
A specialist SEND school in Gateshead is looking for a passionate and dedicated SEND Teacher to join their supportive team on a full-time, long-term basis.
You’ll be working with pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism, SEMH, ADHD and communication difficulties, delivering engaging and personalised learning that meets each pupil’s individual needs.
About the Role
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons
- Support pupils with a range of SEND needs
- Adapt teaching to suit individual learning styles and abilities
- Create a calm, positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Support pupils to develop academically, socially and emotionally
- Contribute to EHCP targets and individual learning plans
- Work closely with Teaching Assistants, families and other professionals
- Monitor progress and celebrate pupil achievements
We're Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience or a strong interest in SEND education
- A nurturing, patient and adaptable approach
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine commitment to helping every pupil succeed
