Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work full-time in a primary school near Haltwhistle. This rewarding role involves providing 1:1 support for pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in Year 1 and Year 5, helping them access learning and thrive throughout the school day.
 
About the Role
This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 3:30pm. SEND experience and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs are essential.
 
What You'll Be Doing
  • Providing 1:1 support to pupils with ASD.
  • Helping children engage with classroom activities and routines.
  • Supporting emotional regulation, communication and social development.
  • Working closely with class teachers and other support staff.
  • Encouraging confidence, independence and positive learning experiences.
