Project Engineer/Assistant Project Manager
Havant (Portsmouth Area) - Site-Based
Up to £60,000 + Package (flexible for the right candidate)

Are you an ambitious Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager looking to take the next step on a major infrastructure project? My client is seeking a driven individual to join their team on the Havant Thicket Reservoir project, a flagship scheme focused on pipeline infrastructure. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected contractor delivering critical water infrastructure in the South.
 

The Role
Working closely with the Site Manager and wider delivery team, you'll play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of pipeline works.
 

Key responsibilities include:
-    Assisting in the day-to-day management of site activities
-    Securing and managing consents and permits
-    Acting as a key point of contact for stakeholders (statutory bodies, local authorities, community groups, and the public)
-    Supporting the commercial team with: 
o    Subcontractor scopes
o    Weekly costs and allocations
-    Compiling monthly client reports
-    General project coordination and site-based support duties
 

About You
Essential:
-    Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
-    Approximately 3-5 years' experience
-    Experience working on the contractor side (preferred, though client-side backgrounds considered)
-    Exposure to consents, permits, and stakeholder management
Desirable:
-    Infrastructure or pipeline project experience
-    Strong communication and organisational skills
 

Working Arrangements
-    Primarily site-based in Havant
-    Potential for 1 day per week remote working
-    Typical hours: 08:00 - 18:00 (approx. 45 hours/week during peak periods)
