Protocol Education is working with a school in Hexham to recruit a Graduate Pastoral Teaching Assistant to support pupils with their learning, confidence, behaviour and emotional wellbeing.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate who enjoys understanding what motivates young people, why they behave the way they do and how the right support can make a difference.

What Will You Be Doing?

You’ll work closely with pupils and school staff, providing a mixture of pastoral and classroom support.

Your day could include:

Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
Providing 1:1 and small-group support
Helping pupils manage emotions and overcome challenges
Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
Supporting pupils who may lack confidence
Helping students develop independence
Supporting learning within the classroom
Encouraging communication and social development
Working alongside teachers and pastoral staff
Helping create a calm and positive learning environment
