Protocol Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Hounslow to recruit an experienced and passionate SEND Teacher for a full-time position starting in September 2026.
This is a unique opportunity to lead provision for a small group of Year 1 pupils with significant Speech & Language, Social Communication and Complex SEND needs who require a highly personalised approach to learning and development.
Working alongside a dedicated team of support staff, you will lead interventions and tailored learning programmes within a dedicated classroom space designed specifically to meet the needs of these children. The role requires close collaboration with the SENDCO, Senior Leadership Team, Reception and Year 1 staff, as well as parents and external professionals.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or significant relevant SEND teaching experience
• Proven experience supporting young children with complex SEND needs
• Strong knowledge of Speech & Language and Social Communication difficulties
• A genuine passion for inclusion and improving outcomes for vulnerable learners
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Experience planning and adapting learning to meet individual needs
• The ability to lead provision and work collaboratively with colleagues and families
The Role:
• Lead learning and intervention programmes for a small group of Year 1 pupils with high levels of SEND
• Work alongside support staff to deliver a highly personalised curriculum
• Create an engaging, nurturing and structured learning environment
• Liaise closely with the SENDCO, SLT, class teachers and parents
• Adapt existing plans and resources to meet pupils' individual needs
• Monitor progress and contribute to EHCP targets and pupil outcomes
